Safety & Tracking
Safety is paramount when out riding your pony and safety
isn't just for children! In association with 'Tracking Station'
we are pleased to be exclusive providers of a must have Equestrian
Safety Aid. 'Riderwhere' is a body worn Tracking and emergency
device allowing the wearer to be found where ever they are.
As a rider out on a hack, you always risk being dislodged
from the saddle and hurt, leaving you alone unable to summon
help or be found. Especially necessary for children, 'Riderwhere'
will enable you to monitor the location of your child whether
lost or simply carried away with the fun of it all. If you
do get lost you can simply call a friend with at an Internet
terminal who can tell you where you are and how to get home.
'Riderwhere' can also function as a mobile telephone and emergency
panic button. Riderwhere can even be called silently and answered
automatcally enabling you to listen in without the wearer
having to accept the call or drawing attention to it, useful
if the wearer has been rendered unconcious or in a situation
where a third party may be a threat. Riderwhere can be worn
at anytime and is not limited to being used only when riding.
E&A fully support the current ad campaign to encourage
better road manners from vehicle drivers. There are over 3000
accidents involving horses on our roads every year. Information
from the BHS says in 2002, 11
riders were killed and 39 injured in 117 accidents reported
voluntarily to the BHS (This does not necessarily reflect
the full number of horse related accidents on roads as there
is no compulsory recording system available) In the same report
33 horses were killed or destroyed and 29 injured. Many horses
and riders get into difficulty whilst riding off road either
becoming injured or parted from each other. 'Riderwhere' and
'Horsewhere' will allow you to find the location of a rider
or horse that has suffered in an accident
Example - Recently an experienced rider was
dismounted from her horse whilst out on a hack on one of the
countries largest commons. The rider had suffered nothing
more than bruising but struggled, whilst in a state of shock,
to get back to the stables on foot. She called friends for
assistance but could not accurately tell them of her whereabouts
- they couldnt find her to pick her up. They then spent several
hours scouring the area for the horse - luckily a person came
across the horse and called the stables to see if they knew
where the rider was. ..... This scenario is more common than
you may think; put yourself in that situation, would you want
luck to play such a big part in finding your horse? - 'Horsewhere'
would of enabled them to locate the horse quickly and easily.
Example - Only a few weeks before, a driver
was out on the common testing her horse and trap which turned
over breaking the leg of the driver and releasing the horse
which bolted. It was by luck that another rider came across
the driver some 45 minutes after the accident. - If the driver
had been wearing a 'Riderwhere' she could have pressed the
panic button, alerting a designated friend or family member
that she was in trouble and traced to her location.
Example - Some girls went on a hack. After
2 hours they realised that they were lost. They used their
mobiles to call back to the yard to see if someone might recognise
a description of the area - no-one did. They tried to re-trace
the route out but couldnt really remember where they had been.
Some 6 hours later riders and horses reached the yard exhausted,
thankful that by luck they had got back. - 'Riderwhere' would
of allowed them to get a fix on their position and a friend
to tell them how to get back.
Example - One of the young girls (14) from
a local yard was thrown from her pony while out on a hack.
She used her mobile phone to call her Mum but, not knowing
exactly where she was, couldnt tell her Mum where to come
to meet her. A search party left the yard and, after 90 minutes,
found her and brought her home. 30 minutes later they found
the pony. - 'Riderwhere' wouldve allowed her mum to locate
here position to meet her.
'Tracking Station' can also provide you with a similar device
to monitor the whereabouts of your Horse or Pony should it
bolt while out riding, abscond from its field or stolen from
its stable.
'Riderwhere' & 'Horsewhere' will provide peace of mind,
a means to find your lost Child or Pony and an emergency callout
where necessary. Click here for more information and how to
buy the new must have Riderwhere' and 'Horsewhere'.
